I think this line of work has always been a part of my life. When I first started in the industry, I was working for someone else. Things were always changing and there was always something new to learn; it was fascinating to me. By the time I was 25, I was ready to start my own business, that was in 1984.
Everything started with the stereo. If people wanted to listen to music, they’d get a stereo. Then it grew. People wanted the same surround sound they had in theaters, in their homes. From there, they wanted the best picture, then the home theater. Now, all the technology is integrated together, even their cell phones. I find excitement in the growth of it all.
Every project that comes in, I quote myself. I do this for a couple reasons. The first is for the customer. I want them to know exactly what they’re getting and what the process will entail; no surprises. The second is for selfish reasons. I love how technology evolves and I love the development of it all. For as long as my company is around, we’ll continue advancing, and I look forward to seeing how this industry grows in the years to come. – Michael.
